What is Our Advocacy?

Our advocacy is to promote proper waste management and encourage students and community members to practice responsible waste disposal. We want to help people understand how small actions can reduce waste and protect the environment.



Why Does It Matter?

Improper waste disposal can cause pollution, clogged drainage, bad odors, and health problems. Proper waste management helps maintain a clean and healthy community.





Who is Affected?



Everyone is affected by waste management. People, animals, plants, and the environment can be harmed when waste is not properly handled



What is Waste Management?

Waste management is the proper collection, segregation, reduction, recycling, and disposal of waste to prevent harm to people and the environment.



The 3Rs of Waste Management

REDUCE

Use fewer materials and avoid buying things that are not necessary.

REUSE

Use items again instead of immediately throwing them away.

RECYCLE

Turn recyclable materials into new products instead of sending them to landfills.





Proper Waste Segregation



🟢 Biodegradable

Food scraps, leaves, and other materials that can naturally decompose.



🔵 Recyclable

Paper, cardboard, bottles, cans, and other materials that can be recycled.



Residual

Waste that cannot be recycled or composted.



🔴 Special Waste

Items that need special handling, such as batteries, electronic waste, and certain chemicals.
